Oiva Toikka
Virpuri Finlandia 1931-2019
Toikka is a legend of Finnish glass art, his artworks are renowned all over the world. His imaginative, rich and bold glass art is a departure from mainstream Nordic design. Oiva wanted to use different traditional Murano techniques such as filigree and reticello to create massive and heavy sculptures but thanks to their natural and simple shapes they allow these works of art to appear simple and elegant.
OivaHiroko Ueki
born in 1978 in Japan, Hiroko Ueki is a well-known designer in her country. He has a great experience with Murano glass, in fact he started working with Pino Signoretto and his team in 2001. Her works are an explosion of colours and transparencies that bring sculptures to a solid feeling with pop art and contemporary Japanese art. Toikka
