Born in Reggio Calabria on May 13, 1946.
He began his adventure in glass at about 8 years old, where he combined work in the furnace with compulsory schooling.
In his first years of work he ventured into a world that fascinated and involved him more and more, where creativity, manual skills and knowledge of the material led him to discover an art that would become a continuous challenge for him with himself.
Over the years his creative ability is also enriched thanks to the school of various Master glassmakers including Alfredo Barbini and Giusto Nichetto.
His knowledge of glass is enriched in the 70s where from Master in the sector of objects he tries his hand at that of lighting thus starting a new challenge with himself that leads him in a few years to become Master Glassmaker of chandeliers.
From the 80s onwards he collaborated with other Master glassmakers and successfully founded some companies where he established himself as one of the best creators and executors in the lighting sector.
1990
The success in the sector on one hand and the awareness of being able to count on his wife Valeria and his sons Loris Omar and Thomas on the other, led him in 1990 to yet another challenge and he decided to found Signoretto Lampadari
This intuition also proves to be successful but at the same time stimulating because it allows him to make the most of his great experience in important companies and at the same time leads him with more determination to the creation of new lines, new collections and to the continuous search for new processing techniques, renewing day by day his challenge with himself and with the increasingly fascinating world of glass.
And the creation of artistic chandeliers designed by Maestro Gianni Signoretto immediately lead to the success of Signoretto Lampadari which, with the excellent qualitative results achieved, consolidates its leadership in the lighting sector.
But the challenge continues and since 2004 Gianni has been involved in the research and development of a new line of chandeliers, more linear and modern, with the aim of proposing a mix of offers that is placed on market segments different from the traditional one. It is this new collection of chandeliers that signs the new company catalog in 2007.

The “Ciocca” and the Rezzonico chandelier
The type of chandelier that was very popular was called “Ciocca”, which literally translates to “bouquet of flowers”. Their shape was inspired by an original architectural concept: the interior space was left almost empty. The decorations were therefore distributed around the central support, spaced out by the length of the arms. Giuseppe Briati was one of the most famous chandelier manufacturers. In 1724 he created what became known as the Rezzonico Chandelier, the first chandelier of its kind. It was designed for the noble Venetian Rezzonico family and exhibited in their palazzo along the Grand Canal, now the famous Venetian museum “Ca’ Rezzonico”. With its multiple arms decorated with garlands, flowers and leaves, the Rezzonico Chandelier became the standard for what is now recognized as the classic Murano chandelier. Even today, Murano glass chandeliers are highly appreciated all over the world, and we at Edea Murano Chandelier contribute to distributing this type of artistic beauty by selecting the best glass production furnaces
